FAPTO 2010-2011 BALLOT ~ Elections Tuesday, May 4th!

Dear FA Parents,

Are you interested in the future of FAPTO? Attached is the ballot for next years Executive Board. Due to the established by laws, we must have a minimum of 21 votes (either in person or absentee ballot).

If you are unable to attend Tuesdays meeting at school beginning at 8:15 am, please fill out the attached ballot and return to FACP no later than Tuesday, May 4th (8 am) or via email stephanie@fapto.org or fax 602.449.6905.

Again, the future of FAPTO depends on your vote. If we don't have enough votes, FAPTO will cease. It is an unfortunate circumstance, however, due to existing by laws, that is how it must be handled.

We look forward to seeing you at our last 2009-2010 FAPTO meeting next Tuesday, May 4th at 8:15 am on campus.

Membership
Membership in FAPTO is $35.00 per year per family. These membership dues, along with monies raised from other activities, are used to enhance the experience of our student body. Everybody benefits when a Foothill's family joins.

The 2009-2010 Foothills Academy PTO would like to welcome our new families and welcome back our returning families to Foothills Academy. As FAPTO President, I would like to take this opportunity to explain what our goals are for the Foothills Academy community.

The members of our community consist of parents, teachers and administrators whose efforts are designed to enhance the educational experience of every child in our school (described in the Foothills Academy PTO Bylaws).

We are an independent organization, and we do not belong to any state or national affiliation, or support any political platforms. Because we are a PTO we keep all of the funds that we raise for our school rather than sending money for state and/or national dues or fees.

The Foothills Academy PTO’s mission is to promote open communication and understanding between parents and staff of Foothills Academy. Our dedication is to enhance and maximize the education of every child, while aiding in achieving its highest potential.

To meet this extremely important goal, the organization actively fundraises through various ongoing and event specific programs and activities, beginning with our FAPTO Membership Drive. These funds enable us to offer a diversity of programs, all for the betterment of our students' education. We strive to create an atmosphere where both teachers and administrators can do their best work - and so can our children.

We are about working together toward a common goal. Again, that goal simply stated, is creating a better school and a better educational experience for our students. I invite you to take a look at the enclosed information packet.

It includes: membership & directory information, schedule of events, Scrip/BoxTops information, Volunteer form, School Supply sale, contact list and schedule of all FAPTO General Meetings.

Please join us on September 8th at 8:15 am (on campus) for our first general FAPTO meeting of the 2009-2010 school year.
